As a father and a husband in a world that seems to have chaos all around, I have grown to realize the importance of being a part of a community of faith. It is what keeps me anchored on what is right and pure with hope and assurance. That is my personal desire for you, to find a home where the chaos seems to fade.

 

Henderson First Methodist Church can be that place for you and invites you to become a part of our family where we seek to KNOW Christ, GROW in Christ and GO to serve Christ. One way to get to KNOW Christ is to come and worship with us on Sunday mornings. We GROW together through small groups such as Bible studies, Sunday school, Children & Youth groups, and home groups. We GO as we participate in the many missional opportunities, both local and international, that are available for all ages.

Be The Church

In October, FMC Henderson will begin a new four-week sermon series, "Be the Church," focusing on what it means to live out our calling as the Body of Christ. Through messages centered on faithfulness, spiritual gifts, service, and responding to God's call, the series will encourage members to reflect on how they can use their time, talents, and resources in ministry. The series reminds us that every person has a purpose, every gift matters, and every act of faithful service helps strengthen the Church. Join us as we discover together what it truly means to "Be the Church."

Supporting Paint the Town Pink

Our church is honored to partner once again with the Fire Department in support of their annual Paint the Town Pink campaign. This meaningful fundraiser helps provide support and encouragement to individuals in Rusk County who are courageously battling cancer.


As part of our commitment to this important cause, members of our congregation recently wore pink during worship as a visible sign of support for those affected by cancer and their families. We are grateful for the opportunity to join our community in raising awareness, sharing hope, and demonstrating God's love to our neighbors.


Throughout October, we encourage everyone to continue supporting the Paint the Town Pink effort and to keep those facing cancer in your prayers. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need encouragement and care the most. 

All Saints' Sunday

On November 1st at 10:00am, we will gather for a special One Worship Service in the Sanctuary to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have passed from this life to eternity in the past year. We invite you to join us for this meaningful and hope-filled service.
